3、isstudywastoevaluateanewdrug-elutingstentandimplantationtechniqueforthetreatmentofdenovocoronarybifurcationlesions.TheAxxessPlustrialwasaprospectivemulticentersingle-armstudythatenrolled139patients.Eachpatientreceivedaself-expanding,con-icallyshapednickel-titaniumAxxessPlusbiolimusA9-elutingst
4、entatthelevelofthecarina.Dependingonthelesionanatomy,additionalnonstudystentswereplaceddistallyifnecessary.Clinicalandangiographicfollow-upwerescheduledat6monthsaftertheprocedure.Theoverallrateoftargetlesionrevascularizationwas7.5%at6months.Ameanof2.4stentswereimplantedperpatient;51.2%ofpatien
5、tsreceivedastenttothesidebranch,29.4%receivedballoonangioplastyonly,and20.6%ofsidebrancheswerenottreated.In-stentlatelossintheAxxessstentswas0.09mm.Incidencesofangiographicin-stentrestenosiswere7.1%intheparentvesselstentsand9.2%inthegroupreceivingstentsinthesidebranch(7.9%excludingbaremetalste
6、ntsplaceddistaltotheAxxessstent),comparedwith25%forballoonangioplastytreatmentand12%fornotreatment.Latestentthrombosiswasobservedin3cases,2ofwhichwereassociatedwithconfirmedprematurecessationofantiplatelettherapy.Inconclusion,theAxxessPlusconicalstenteffectivelytreatsbifurcationlesionsaloneorin
