4、ytoretaininformationandtomakeinferences.Aquestionnaireassessedperceptionsofculturallearning.Resultsindicatedasignificantgaininculturalknowledgewithposttestscoressignificantlyhigherthanpretestscores.Ontheshort-answerandfree-recallportionsofthe8postvideotests,thestudents’abilitytomakei

5、nferencesorretaininformationdidnotimprovesignificantlyineitheranadvanceorganizer(AO)oranon-AOcondition.Forfreerecall,scoresweresignificantlyhigherformentionsofculturalpracticesthanforproducts.Thestudentsbelievedthattheylearnedmoreculturalpracticesthanproducts.Theresultssupportusingvi

6、deotoenhanceculturalknowledge.FOREIGNLANGUAGE(FL)EDUCATORS1999;ACTFLProficiencyGuidelines,1986,1998;havereachedconsensusthatcultureneedstobeStandards,1996,1999).Thecurrentstudysup-anintegralpartofFLteachingatalllevels(Langeportsanintegratedmodeloflanguageandcul-&Klee,2000).Formerlyth
