1、SAPGUI7.20C1InstallationSTUDENTINSTALLATIONDOCUMENT!!!Purpose:InstallationofSAPGUIforusewiththeUW-MilwaukeeUCChostingcenter.Theinstallerfile‘SAPGUI_INST_720.EXE’willinstallthelatestversionofSAPGUI(includingBEXtools,KWtools,andrelevantpatches)andoursaplogon.inifile
2、(neededforaccesstoourservers).ThisGUIversionhasbeentestedandconfirmedtobeworkingonboth32bitand64bitversionsofWindowsXP,WindowsVista,andWindows7.Thebareminimumrequirementis32bitWindowsXPSP2with.net2.0installed.Preparation:Itisnolongerrequiredthatpreviousversionsoft
3、heSAPGUIbeuninstalled;however,notremovingthepriorlocallystored.inifileswillallowthemtoalsopopulateyoursapguiserverlist.Itissuggestedthatyouremoveorbackuppreviousversionsofthesaplogon.inifile.OnWindowsXP,thisfilecanbefoundinC:windowsorC:documentsandsettings[your
4、username]applicationdataSAPcommon–orC:Windows,thoughIsuggestusingthesamemethodusedonvistaandwindows7tobesure.OnVistaandWindows7operatingsystems,youneedtosearchforanddeleteallcopiesofthisfile,hiddenfilesandfoldersneedtobeenabledinthecontrolpanel(start->controlp
5、anel->appearanceandpersonalization->FolderOptions–inviewtabandradiobutton“showhiddenfilesandfolders”).Thensearchyourcomputerforthefilesaplogon.iniandremoveorbackthemupbeforeinstalling.Procedure:YoushouldhavealreadyobtainedtheSAPGUIinstallerfromyourinstructor.Ifyou
6、havenotalreadydoneso,pleasecontacttheinstructorofyourcoursetodiscusshowyoucanobtainthisfile.Onceyouhavetheinstallerprogram,executeitbydoubleclickingthisicon:ThiswillbringupSAP’sextractionnotification,whichdependingonyourmachinecanrunforafewminutes.UWMSAPUCCPage1of
