A clear understanding between the gas quality and erosion can effectively ensure the integrity of control valves, prevent valve corrosion even erosion wear, which finally put forward the solution of potential explosion-related security, health problems. BNGPC, be charge of the operation of the Shaanxi- Beijing Pipeline. During the operation, a number of erosion damage events occurred whose reason is high-speed erode of dust and construction remains. BNGPC started the valve abrasion research, the good solutions have been proposed, so as that the good effective was made in operation. Keywords: Gas pipeline, Valve, Erosion 1. INTRODUCTION BNGPC (Beijing Natural Gas Pipeline Co.,Ltd),is a branch of CNPC, which charge of the construction and operation of Shaan-Jing natural gas pipeline, and provide the gas for Beijing and Tianjin. BNGPC Firstly carried out pipeline integrity management, which is delegate of international management of Chinese pipeline. Shaan-Jing Gas Pipeline I ,Total length 1256km, 3 layer PE coating, CP systems, Diameter 660 mm (26 inch), pressure 6.4Mpa. Pipeline II,Total length 939.8km, diameter 1016mm (40inch), pressure 10Mpa, 2 Compressor stations,6 underground storages with 65 working wells, 17 compressor units, working volume 3.03BCM (total volume 4.65BCM), daily peak regulation capability 34 mcm/d, located in Tianjin. BNGPC, which do the pipeline maintenance, the filter core was clogged up by black powder, especially on the peak of gas supply, the pressure control and flow valve makes a squeaking sound from the discharge station, the high speed erosion of black powder damage the valve, after the measure, the erosion happened inside the valve cavity, many site and laboratory experiments have been done, the erosion database have been built, based on the analysis result, the relative parameter was adjusted, the valve life was analyzed, after the practice on the site, it is effect to reduce the erosion. ANALYSIS OF REASON Under the impact of the high-speed airflow, tablets cutting the valve cavity, leading to valve wall thinning, damage even perforation. Simultaneously, when free water exit, corrosion and abrasion exacerbated, which damage the valve and make a failure for control and operation. 3.
