3、tobeasfunnyaspossible,writefunnierexpressedbymenandwomen,andofteninconjunctioncartooncaptionsthandowomen,andsecondexaminingwithfirmassertionsthatmen’shumoradvantage,ifsuchitwhetherthereisatendencytofalselyrememberfunnybe,isnotpartofanygeneralintellectualsuperiority(Greer,thi
4、ngsashavingbeenproducedbymen.Atotalof322009;Hitchens,2007).Presumingareliablegenderparticipants,halffromeachgender,wrotecaptionsfor20differenceinhumorproduction,varioustheorieshavebeencartoons.Ratersthenindicatedthehumorsuccessoftheseoffered,includingsuggestionsthathumor,lik
5、etheheadcaptions.Ratersofbothgendersfoundthecaptionswrittenbuttingofelk,isdonetoimpresspotentialmates(Bressler,bymalesfunnier,thoughthispreferencewassignificantlyMartin,&Balshine,2006).Consistentwithsuchanotion,strongeramongthemaleraters.Inthesecondexperiment,femalesindicate
6、apreferenceformateswhomakesthemmaleandfemaleparticipantswerepresentedwiththelaugh,whereasmalespreferamatewholaughsattheirfunniestandleastfunnycaptionsfromthefirstexperiment,humor(Li,Griskevicius,Durante,Jonason,Pasisz&alongwiththecaptionauthor’sgender.Onamemorytest,Aumer,200
