6、rlyidentificationandintervention.ISEARLYINTERVENTION COSTEFFECTIVE?Theavailabledataemphasizethelong-termcosteffectivenessofearlyintervention.Onashort-termbasis,EarlyInterventionismorecostlythantraditionalschool-agedservicedeliverymodels.However,therearesign

7、ificantexamplesoflong-termcostsavingsthatresultfromearlyinterventionprograms.CostEffectivenessofEarlyInterventionPerryPreschoolProjectfoundthatwhenschoolsinvestabout$3,000for1yearofpreschooleducationforachild,theyimmediatelybegintorecovertheirinvestmentthro
