3、thesymptoms,orwhichmayhavebeenaggravatedbytheincidentoremploymentfactorclaimed.CausalRelationship–4Types:DirectCausation;Aggravation;Acceleration;andPrecipitationControversion.TheagencywillinformtheemployeewhetherCOPwillbecontrovertedand,ifso,whetherpaywillbetermi

4、nated,andthebasisforsuchaction(thereasonsmustconformwiththoseindicatedinparagraph9below).Theagencywillalsoexplainthebasisforcontroversion(ifany)onFormCA-1orbyseparatenarrativereport,20C.F.R.10.211(c).KeyTermsContinuationOfPay(COP)-Anemployeewhosustainsadisablingjo

5、b-relatedtraumaticinjuryisentitledtocontinuationofregularpay(COP)foraperiodnottoexceed45calendardays.ToqualifyforCOP,theinjuredemployeemustfilewrittennoticeofinjuryandclaimforCOPwithin30daysoftheinjury.COPisnotconsideredcompensationandissubjecttotaxesandotherpayro

6、lldeductions.Theemployeemustmakeseparateclaimformonetarycompensationifthedisabilityexceeds45daysorresultsinanypermanentdisability.SeeFECAPM2-807.DateofInjury(DOI)-Datethatatraumaticinjuryoccurs,thedateofdeath,orthedateoflastinjuriousexposureinthecaseofoccupational
