6、sthevowelsound.Sotospeak,rhymeistherepetitionofthestressedvowelsoundandallsucceedingsounds.Thus“line”willrhymewith“pine”,“visit”with“isit”.Rhymeisthemajorsoundelementwhichcontributestothemusicofpoetry.Therhymesinapoemwillusuallyformapatterncalledrhymescheme.1.Masculine/femini
7、nerhymeWhentherhymingsoundinvolvesonlyonesyllable,usuallyattheendofrespectivelines,itiscalledmasculinerhyme.Oftenthefinalsyllableisstressed.TypesofRhymee.g.“cold”and“bold”,“sky”and“fly”.Whentherhymingsoundsinvolvetwoormoresyllables,itiscalledfemininerhyme.e.g.“spitefully”and
