3、kingindustry,standardizingsuchregulationandsupervision,preventingandmitigatingrisksinthebankingindustry,protectingthelawfulrightsandinterestsofdepositorsandothercustomers,andpromotingthesounddevelopmentofthebankingindustry.Article2ThebankingregulatoryauthorityundertheStateCouncilshallberesponsi
4、blefortheregulationofandsupervisionoverthefinancialinstitutionsofthebankingindustryandtheirbusinessoperationsthroughoutthecountry.Forpurposesofthislaw,the"financialinstitutionsofthebankingindustry"refertothefinancialinstitutionsestablishedinthePeople'sRepublicofChinathatreceivedepositsfromthege
5、neralpublic,including,amongothers,commercialbanks,urbancreditcooperativesandruralcreditcooperatives,andpolicybanks.TheprovisionsofthisLawpertainingtotheregulationofandsupervisionoverthefinancialinstitutionsofthebankingindustryareapplicabletotheregulationandsupervisionofthefinancialassetmanageme
