2、,sodopossibilitiesformisunderstandingsandcostlydisputeswhensalescontractsarenotadequatelydrafted.Incoterms,theofficialICCrulesfortheinterpretationoftradeterms,facilitatetheconductofinternationaltrade.ReferencetoIncoterms2000inasalescontractdefinesclearlytheparties'respect
3、iveobligationsandreducestheriskoflegalcomplications.SincethecreationofIncotermsbyICCin1936,thisundisputedworldwidecontractualstandardhasbeenregularlyupdatedtokeeppacewiththedevelopmentofinternationaltrade.Incoterms2000takeaccountoftherecentspreadofcustoms-freezones,theinc
4、reaseduseofelectroniccommunicationsinbusinesstransactions,andchangesintransportpractices.Incoterms2000offerasimplerandclearerpresentationofthe13definitions,allofwhichhavebeenrevised.ThebroadexpertiseofICC'sCommissiononInternationalCommercialPractice,whosemembershipisdrawn
