4、roblemtoAmericansociety.TheoriginofracialproblemsThehistoryofracialproblemsTheslaveauctionThefirstblackswerebroughttoNorthAmericanin1619.Withinafewdecadesthedemandfortheircheaplaborledtoamassiveslavetradethatultimatelytransportedsome400000Africanstothiscontinent,wheretheyweresoldlikecat

5、tleatauctions.CivilWarTheEmancipationProclamationTheNorthernstateshadalloutlawedslaveryby1830,buttheSouthernstatemaintainedtheinstitutionuntilitwasfinallyendedbythecivilwar,Lincoln’semancipationofslaveryin1863.The1960ssawthegreatcivilrightsmovementwhosegoalsweretoendsegregationlawscompl

6、etelyandfightforequalrightsforthecoloredpeople,afterthat,manyAmericanblacksbegantohaveanewmood.MartinLutherKingencouragedblackpeopletousenonviolentmeanstoachievetheirgoalsofequaltreatment.Finally,CongresspassedtheCivilRightsActof1964tostopdiscriminationinallpublicplaces.Theblacksandthew
