5、icsformorethanhalfacentury.Theacceleratortechnologyofcollidershasprogressedimmensely,whilebeamenergy,luminosity,facilitysize,andcosthavegrownbyseveralordersofmagnitude.Themethodofcollidingbeamshasnotfullyexhausteditspotentialbuthassloweddownconsiderablyinitsprogress.Inthispaperw
6、ederiveasimplescalingmodelforthecostoflargeacceleratorsandcollidingbeamfacilitiesbasedoncostsof17bigfacilitieswhichhavebeeneitherbuiltorcarefullyestimated.Althoughthisapproachcannotreplaceanactualcostestimatebasedonanengineeringdesign,thisparameterizationistoindicateasomewhatrea
