3、eoccurrenceandlocationofthejump,andtheassociatedchangesinthethicknesspro®leandintheradialandtangentialvelocitiesoftheliquidmetal.Goodcorrelationshavebeenobservedbetweenmodelpredictionsandthe¯owpatternsobservedontheskullafteratomization,andtheeffectsofchangesinmate
4、rialandoperationalparameterssuchaskinematicviscosity,volume¯owrate,me-tallostatichead,anddiskrotationspeedhavebeenquanti®ed.Liquidmetal¯owiscontrolledpri-marilybythevolume¯owrateandbythemetallostaticheadpriortothehydraulicjumpandbythecentrifugalforcesafterthejump.
