4、detc.SatellitescanalsobeusedbyGPSreceivers.GPSSatellitesTheGPSOperationalConstellationconsistsof24satellitesthatorbittheEarthinverypreciseorbitstwiceaday.GPSsatellitesemitcontinuousnavigationsignals.ReceiversandSatellitesGPSunitsaremadetocommunicatewithGPSsate

5、llites(whichhaveamuchbetterviewoftheEarth)tofindoutexactlywheretheyareontheglobalscaleofthings.GPSSignalsEachGPSsatellitetransmitsdatathatindicatesitslocationandthecurrenttime.AllGPSsatellitessynchronizeoperationssothattheserepeatingsignalsaretransmittedatthes

6、ameinstant.Physicallythesignalisjustacomplicateddigitalcode,orinotherwords,acomplicatedsequenceof“on”and“off”pulses.PseudoRandomNoiseCodeReceiverPRNSatellitePRNTimeDifferenceTimeDifferenceTheGPSreceivercomparesthetimeasignalwastransmittedbyasatellitewiththetim
