3、etworkwithmanynodesandtopologychangefrequently.Itmainlyincludespacketforwardingstrategyandlocationservice.LocationserviceforAdnetworksisusedtolocatethegeographicpositionofagivennodeinthenetwork.Oneofthemainusagesoflocationservicesisinposition-basedroutingalgorithms.Inparticular,positionroutingpr
4、otocolscanroutepacketsmoreefficientlytotheirdestinationsbasedonthedestinationnode’Sgeographicalpositionprovidedbylocationservice.’Inthispaper,position-basedroutingprotocolsforVANETandlocationservicemechanismareresearchedandanalyzed,theexistingproblemsofusinglocationservicedesignedformobileAdnetw
5、orksinVANEThavebeenfoundout,andtherelativesolutionisproposedinthispaper.Themainresearchcontentinthispaperisfocusingonfivepartsasfollows:Firstly,weexpatiatethesignificanceandbackgroundofresearchinginter-vehiclecommunicationanditsrelatives,giveananalysistothecurrenttrends,challengeandthedevelopmen
6、tinthisarea,surveysomeoftherecentresearchresultsonroutingprotocolsforvehicularnetworks,analyzesomeoftheresearchingchallengesthatstillneedtobeaddressedreferredtoposition-basedroutingprotocolandlocationservicemechanismforVANET.Secondly,weanalyzeandcomparetheperformanceontopology-basedroutingprotoc
