4、ctingthelowerlimbjointsinhumanwalkingautomatically，whichisbasedonthegeometrypropertiesofwalkinghuman．Theimagesequenceisacquiredbyasinglecamerafirstly,andthehumanregionisextractedfromtheimagebythebackgroundsubtraction．Afterthehumanregionandheightareobtained，wecan

5、furthercompletethelowerlimbjointsdetectionofwalkinghuman．’Aboveall，thelowerlimbdetectioninhumanwalkingfromsideviewisfinishedbasedonthelimblengthlimit，becausethelimblengthhasnodistortioninhumanwalkingfromsideview．Next，wedetectthekneejointsfromfrontaccordingtothee

6、dgeinformationandlimblengthlimit．Towards血edetectionofanklejointsfromfront，weadjustthelengthoflowerlegbyedgeinformationandusethisnewlengthtodetecttheanklejoints．Finallyafurtherresearchondetectionoflowerlimbsjointfromanyvi．ewiscompleted，whichisaccordingtothelinear
