5、fcomprehensivecollectionofexistingresearchresultsandallkindsofgeologicaldataofthePaleozoicandMesozoicstratainliujiangriverbasin,northChina.DigitalsimulationsoftwarewasusedtostimulatethegeologicalevolutionofupperPalaeozoicandMesozoicinthestudyarea.Thefollowingmainresultswe

6、reasfollows:Twofieldprofiles(about3.5km)weremeasured.Throughon-siteinvestigation,sampling,chipgrinding,microscopicanalysis,itwasknownthatthesedimentofupperpaleozoicweremainlyterrigenousclasticrocks.Amongthem,thebenxiformationcontainedshaleandlimestonelens,andthemainsedime

7、ntaryenvironmentwastidalflat-lagoon;Taiyuanformationcontainedshale,sandstoneandlimestonelens,andthesedimentaryenvironmentwastidalflat-lagoon-restrictedcarbonateplatformdeposits;Shanxiformationwasconsistedofgrayshale,sandstonewithcoalseam,anditwasmainlydeltadeposits.TheMes

8、ozoicdepositsaremainlycomposedofsandstoneandconglomerate,UpperTriassicXingshikouformationweremainlysandstone,siltstoneandmudstonelayer,andthesedimentaryenvironmentwasmainlymeanderingriverdeposit.LowerHuayuanformationofLowerJuracontainssandstoneconglomerateandcoalseam,andt
