3、lgorithm(SPA),jointsource-channeldecoding(JSCD)I.INTRODUCTIONRecentlyin[1]-[4]severaljointsource-channeldecodingalgorithmsforvariablelengthcodes(VLC)havebeenproposed.Allofthesealgorithmsconsidertheoverallsequenceofvariablelengthcodewordtoexploitthesourceredundancy.Thedrawbackisthatthes
4、ymbolshavetobesynchronizedinordertolimiterrorpropagating.Furthermore,whenthenumberofVLCincreases,thedecodingcomplexityofthesealgorithmsexplodes.InthispaperwepresentaJSCDalgorithmforLDPCcodesincombinationwithHuffmancodedsources.TheerrorcorrectingpropertyofourJSCDalgorithmmainlydependson
5、channelcodesratherthansourceredundancy.Inordertoexploitthesourceredundancy,weestimatetheinformationbitprobabilitywithjustsomecorrespondingbitsbeforeit,whichsimplifiesthedecodingalgorithmsignificantly.Therestofthepaperisorganizedasfollows.SectionIIpresentstheHuffmancodedsourcemodel.TheJ
