2、undandabnormalatmosphericcirculationete.Atthesametime,theyarealsorelatedtothehumanactivities.ThecharacteristicsofduststormsinChinaarcstudiedbyusingtheobservationaldatafrom1954to2009.InnorthwestofChina,aridandsemi—aridregionispronetodustweather,especiallyinth

3、eedgeoftheTaklimakanDesertofTarimBasininXinjiang,westofInnerMongolia,northoftheQilianMountainsinGansuProvinceandcentralofInnerMongolia.DuststormsinChinacanbedividedintothetransmissionpathsofnorth,westandnorthwest.Thereisahigherfrequencyofduststormsfromthenor

4、thwestpathandthewestpath.DuststormsoriginatedfromnorthwestofChinaaffectvastareasofChinaandsurroundingcountries.Theobservationalrecordsbeginrangfrom1954showthat,exceptforafewsites,duststormsfrequencyinthecountrywitnessadecreasingtrendwithobviousinter-annualva

5、riabilityandrelativelyactiveandcalmperiods.ThemainweathersystemforformingduststormsinChinaisMongolianCyclonesandtheaccompanyingcoldfronts.Abnormalrainfall,temperature,windandotherclimaticfactorsarecloselyrelatedtotheformationanddevelopmentofduststorms.Themob

7、pticalpropertiesinversionalgorithmandthemeasureddata,thedustaerosolsopticalpropertiesinHefeiCityduringduststorms,mainlyincludingtheaerosolextinctioncoefficientprofileandAOD,werecalculatedandanalyzed.Theresultshowsthatthereisallobviousdifferenceintheprofilest
