1、AbstractAbstractThesituationofurbanhoteldevelopmentisanimportantsymbolofmeasuringregionaltouristreceptioncapacityandtheleveloftourismdevelopment.Inthehotelindustry,Starhotelhasitsstrictstandardswhichformulatedbythestateinboththehardwareandthesoftwareconstruction,toacertainextent,which
2、representsthelevelofaregionoracityhotelindustrydevelopment.AsafamoustouristcityinChina,thestarhotelindustry’sgooddevelopmentofXiamenlaidasolidfoundationforthepacetowardstheinternationaltourismmarket.StudyingthespatialdistributioncharacteristicsofstarhotelinXiamenhasgreatsignificanceto
3、thiscity’shotelindustrydevelopmentanditspatternofcommercialland,whichcanmakesomepredictionsandoptimizationadvicetotherelevantgovernmentmanagement,planningdepartmentandinvestors.ThispapercombinesthetraditionalstatisticalanalysisandspatialstatisticalanalysisbasedonGIStechniques.Withthes
4、upportofCrimeStat3.2,Surfer11,ArcGIS9.3andGeoDa095itechnology,itadoptsnearestneighbordistanceindex,spatialsyntax,exploratoryspatialdataanalysistoanalysisthespatialdistributioncharacteristicsofstar-ratedhotelsinXiamenfromthe“point-line-surface”threelevelsandtriestoexplorethepossiblefac
5、tors.Themainconclusionsareasfollows:(1)HotelsinXiamenareoveralldistributedinclusters,amongthem,3-starhotelsarethemostsignificant,4-starand5-starhotelstendtobemoreevenlydistributed,however,2-starhotelspresentdiscretedistribution.ThehotspotsofstarhotelsareZhongShanstreet,egretislandarea
6、,WuCunstreet,SongBai-JiangTouareaandHuLidistrict.(2)Asawhole,Starhotelsdistributeintheurbantrafficintegrationcoreregion.Thespatialdistributionofhighstarhotelsfitthesystemintegrationcoreregiongenerally,but3-starhotelsperformquietwell.(3)Asawhole,thedensitydistributeofstarhotelspresents
