2、ation’sSectiononBusinessLaw(SBL)whichcontributestothedevelopmentofthelawandpracticeofinternationalarbitrationandotherformsofdisputeresolution,theCommitteecurrentlyhasover1,500membersin115countries,andmembershipisincreasingsteadily.LinksRelationsaremaintainedwithalloftheprominentinte

3、rnationalArbitrationinstitutionsworldwide.Activities•TheCommitteeprovidesprogrammesatIBAandSBLConferences.Conferenceprogrammesarediscussedinadvancewithmembers,whoareencouragedtosuggesttopicsfordiscussionanddebate.•Membersmaybeappointedtoattendlaw-makingsessionssuchasthosewhichledtot

4、heUNCITRALModelLawonInternationalCommercialArbitration.•TheCommitteeproducesregularnewslettersgivingnewsofmembersandupdatesontopicsinthisfieldoflaw.Contributionsfrommembersareessentialforthecontinuingsuccessofthesenewsletters.•AnymemberoftheCommitteewhowishestopursuealineofprivateen

5、quiry,ortoencouragepublicdebateofanissuewithintheCommittee’sremit,shouldasktheCommitteeOfficerstocirculateenquiriesamongstthemembershipandtoencouragecooperativeendeavour.SubcommitteeonRecognitionandEnforcementofArbitralAwards(D1)TheConventionontheRecognitionandEnforcementofForeignAr

6、bitrationAwardsmadeinNewYorkin1958towhichmorethan100countrieshaveaccededhasdemandedtheestablishmentofaspecialSubcommittee.PractitionersattendtheannualworkshopofthisSubcommitteeinordertolearnoftheexperienceofvariouscountrieswiththisConvention.SubcommitteeonAlternativeDisputeResolutio
