5、statisticalanalysisstudyChenLiuandXin-wuWuAbstractArelationshipbetweenthewasteproductionandsocio-economicfactorsisessentialinwastemanagement.Inthepresentstudy,thefactorsinfluencingmunicipalsolidwastegenerationinChinawereinvestigatedbymultiplestatisticalanalysis.Twelveitemswe

6、rechosenforinvestigation:GDP,percapitaGDP,urbanpopulation,theproportionofurbanpopulation,theareaofurbanconstruction,theareaofpavedroads,theareaofurbangardensandgreenareas,thenumberofthelargecities,annualpercapitadisposableincomeofurbanhouseholds,annualpercapitaconsumptionexp

7、enditureofurbanhouseholds,totalenergyconsumptionandannualpercapitalconsumptionforhouseholds.Twomethodologiesfrommultiplestatisticalanalysiswereselected;specificallyprincipalcomponentsanalysis(PCA)andclusteranalysis(CA).ThreenewdimensionswereidentifiedbyPCA:component1:economy
