3、ation,othersensorsmaycometosensorsinanenergy-constrainedwirelesssensornetwork.therescuebyprovidingthemissingdata.NodesrunningaSPINcommunicationprotocolnameWirelesssensornetworkscanalsoimproveremoteac-theirdatausinghigh-leveldatadescriptors,calledmeta-cesstosensordatabyprovidingsinkn
4、odesthatconnectdata.Theyusemeta-datanegotiationstoeliminatethethemtoothernetworks,suchastheInternet,usingwide-transmissionofredundantdatathroughoutthenetwork.Inareawirelesslinks.Ifthesensorssharetheirobserva-addition,SPINnodescanbasetheircommunicationde-tionsandprocesstheseobservati
5、onssothatmeaningfulcisionsbothuponapplication-specificknowledgeoftheandusefulinformationisavailableatthesinknodes,usersdataanduponknowledgeoftheresourcesthatareavail-canretrieveinformationfromthesinknodestomonitorabletothem.Thisallowsthesensorstoefficientlydis-andcontroltheenvironment
6、fromafar.tributedatagivenalimitedenergysupply.WesimulateWethereforeenvisionafutureinwhichcollectionsofandanalyzetheperformanceoftwospecificSPINproto-sensornodesformadhocdistributedprocessingnetworkscols,comparingthemtootherpossibleapproachesandathatproduceeasilyaccessibleandhigh-qual
