2、Itisveryimportantinmoderntrafficmanagementsystems.Asacomprehensivereal-timecomputervisionsystem,thevehicleslicenseplaterecognition(LPR)mainlyincludesthedivisionoflicenseplatelocalizationandrecognitionofcharacter.Becauseofthecomplexityofthescene,theunpredictabilityoflicensepositionandpicturequality

3、,thelicenseplatelocalizationdivisionsystemisstillsomethingunsatisfied.Thereforethelicenseplatelocalizationdivisionalgorithmisalwaysahotspotofresearchinthisfield.Ahybridlicenseplatelocationschemethatisbasedonmathematicalmorphologyispresentedinthispaper,whichismainlyimplementedasfollowingseveralstep

4、s.Atfirst,wegetthegrayimageofthelicenseplatedothetop-hatandthebottom-hattransformation,then,infirstCCA(Connectedcomponentanalysis)stage,wegetridofthosenon-textroughlyaccordingtothecharactersoflicenseplatehavethesimilarfeatureinheightandsize,andtheyalsoareconnectedwitheachother.Later,weconnectthese

5、platecharactersintoonecomponentbasedonfindingthecenterlineofthemusingHoughtransform.Furthermore,thesecondCCAstageisaccuratelyextractingthelicenseplateaccordingtherealfeatureofthelicenseplate.Basedontheexperimentsdealingwithimagestakenundervariousrealworldconditions,theresultsprovethatthisproposedm
