3、totheofnewenergycarsinaimsoftakingbiggersharesofworld'sfastest-growingautomarket–China.BYDCompany,Ltd.isthelocalleaderintheproductionofhybridandelectroniccars.Inaturbulentyear2008,thecompanyreceivedinvestmentvaluedat$230millionfromAmericantycoonWarrenBuffett.OnDecember15,2008,th
4、ecompanylaunchedthefirstplug-inhybridvehicle(PHEV),oneyearaheadofGMandToyota.TheprototypeofpureelectriccarE6wasexhibitedattheShanghaiInternationalAutoShowinApril2009,andisexpectedtobesoldinEuropeintwoorthreeyears.BYDhasexperiencedthreegreatleapsforwardinlessthanfifteenyears.Foun
5、dedin1995,thecompanyquicklybecametheworldsecondlargestbatterycompanyin2002,byproducing65%oftheglobalnickel-cadmiumbatteriesand30%ofthelithium-ionmobilephonebatteries.AftercreatingtheaffiliateBYDAutoin2003,thisHongKongStockExchangelistedcompanystarteditsproductionofconventionalga
