3、tionformanyyears,such鹄inSTATCOM,UPFC,DV凡andAPFete.Thestructureofthemultileveltopologyhasthecharacterof“buildingblock",andhasthepotentialtobebuiltwithseveralbasicIPEMs.Fromthepointofviewofthegeneralizedmultilevelinvertertopology,thedissertationanalyzesvarioustopologiesinmultilevel
4、applications,andgetstwomainmethodstoformamultilevelconverter:combinationandsimplification.Thesetopologiesformedbycombinationaresuitfordesignwithbasic1PEMs.Inthisdissertation.anewcaScadedmultilevelconvel'tel-withselfvoltagebalancingisproposed.Witllthisnewtopology.onlyoneDCsourceis
5、neededformultipleoutputs.Thevoltageacrossthecapacitorineachcaseadedcellcanbebalancedwithoutspecialcontr01.andindependentoftheloadtype.ComparedtotIletraditionaImultilcveltopologies.thenewonehasadvantagesin10wercost.simplercontrolandbetterperformanceinlowmodulation.Thenewtopologyal
