4、nwasfoundtobe1:4atthetemperatureof12°Cforsynthesisofchitosan–gelatinhybridcryogels.chitosan–gelatincryogelssynthesizedwithlowviscositychitosanweremorphologicallybetterthanthoseformedwithmediumandhighviscositychitosan.Porediametersofchitosan–gelatincryogels

5、asmeasuredbyscanningelectronmicroscopy(SEM)wasintherangeof30–100lm.Whilemercuryporosimetryanalysisrevealedthemajorityofporesofthescaffoldlyingintherangeof30–50lm.Porosityofchitosan–gelatincryogelswasfoundtobegreaterthan90%usingArchimedes’sprinciple.Unconfined

6、compressiontestsshowedsignificantelasticityofchitosan–gelatincryogelsandmaintainedtheirphysicalintegrityevenaftercompressingthemupto80%oftheiroriginallength.Theelasticmodulusvariedintherangeof36–39kPa.Cyclicdeformationanalysisperformedbycompressionofchitosan

7、–gelatincryogelswithvaryingstrains(10,20and40%)showednocrackingoranysignificantdeformation.Thedegradationofchitosan–gelatincryogelswasfoundupto13.58±1.52%at37°Cwithin8weeksofincubationundersterileconditionsandthecryogelsswelledupto90%oftheircapacitywithintwo
