5、swithknowndemand.Eachcustomerisrequiredtobevisitedbyexactlyonevehicleandtheobjectiveistominimizethetotaldistancetraveled.Inthesplitdeliveryvehicleroutingproblem(SDVRP),introducedbyDrorandTrudeau(1989),therestrictionthateachcustomerhastobevisitedexactlyonceisremoved,i.e.,splitde
6、liveriesareallowed.Recently,therehasbeenaresurgenceininterestfortheSDVRP.Andrightfullyso.Itisachallengingvariantofthevehicleroutingproblemwithsignificantpotentialforpracticalimplications.Thelat-ter,i.e.,thepracticalimplicationsofsplitdeliveries,isthefocusofthispaper.Thereduction
