2、tpeople,attherightplace,attherighttime,withtherightskills.ThisstrategyneedstoensurethattheCitycanafforditsstaff,soitisaboutensuringthatcorrectalignmentofpeopletoneedswillprovideavalueaddresult,whichfallswithinbudgetparameters.InthiswaywewillbematchingtheCity’sneeds,theCity’sbudgeta

3、ndtheindividualneedsintoanoutcomewhichwillresultinimprovedservicedelivery.TheCitycurrentlyemploys21231permanentstaff.ThecurrentstaffbudgetisR3,685billion,includingprovisionforParity,phase1ofR139million.ThecurrentTrainingbudgetisR34.836million.Thecurrentcommittedbudgetforvacanciesis

4、R275million.Staffbudgettooperating/totalbudgetratioforthe2006/7yearis32%.Overthepastsevenyears,employeeshavefacedmultiplestressfulanddisruptiverestructuringexercises,whichhavehadanegativeimpactonbothservicedeliveryandstaffmorale.ACorporateStaffingStrategywasdevelopedearlyinthe2006f

5、inancialyearandwasaimedatputtinginplaceacomprehensivesetofinitiativestoaddresstheinstability,misalignmentofresourcestoneedsandstaffmorale.ThisstrategywillbesubjecttoanannualreviewprocessaspartoftheCorporateIDPreviewTodatetheprojectisontrack.Itscompletionwillformthefoundationofthefi
