2、uousqualityimprovementofproducts,processesandservicesinorganizations.Design/methodology/approach:Wecomparedthemaincharacteristicsofthepresentedmethodologiesaimingtoshowthemainprerequisites,differences,strengthsandlimitsintheirapplication.Findings:Dependingonthepurposeeveryor

3、ganizationwillhavetofindaproperwayandacombinationofmethodologiesinitsimplementationprocess.ThePDCAcycleisawellknownfundamentalconceptofcontinuous-improvementprocesses,RADARmatrixprovidesastructuredapproachassessingtheorganizationalperformance,DMAICisasystematic,andfactbaseda

4、pproachprovidingframeworkofresults-orientedprojectmanagement,DFSSisasystematicapproachtonewproductsorprocessesdesignfocusingonpreventactivities.Researchlimitations/implications:Thispaperprovidesgeneralinformationandobservationsonfourpresentedmethodologies.Furtherresearchcoul

5、dbedonetowardsmoredetailedstudyofcharacteristicsandpositiveeffectsofthesemethodologies.Practicalimplications:Thepaperpresentscondensedpresentationofmaincharacteristics,strengthsandlimitationsofpresentedmethodologies.Ourfindingscouldbeusedassolidinformationformanagementdecisi

6、onsabouttheintroductionofvariousqualityprogrammes.Originality/value:Wecomparedfourmethodologiesandshowedtheirmaincharacteristicsanddifferences.Weshowedthatsomemethodologiesaremoresimpleandthereforeeasilytounderstandandintroduce(e.g.PDCAcycle).OnthecontrarySixSigmaandEFQMExce
