3、years,wasaPro-fessorattheHelmut-Schmidt-UniversityinHamburgandwenttotheUniversityofDarmstadtin1978.Hisresearchinterestsare,amongothers,theoryofstability,dynamicplas-ticityandbiomechanics.Prof.JörgSchröderstudiedCivilEngineering,receivedhisdoctoraldegreeattheUniversityofHannover

4、andhabilitatedattheUniversityofStuttgart.HewasProfessorofMechanicsattheUniversityofDarmstadtandwenttotheUniversityofDuisburg-Essenin2001.Hisfieldsofresearcharetheoreticalandcomputer-orientedcontinuummechanics,modelingoffunctionalmaterialsaswellasthefurtherdevelopmentofthefinite

5、elementmethod.Prof.WolfgangA.WallstudiedCivilEngineeringatInnsbruckUniversityandre-ceivedhisdoctoraldegreefromtheUniversityofStuttgart.Since2003heisProfessorofMechanicsattheTUMünchenandHeadoftheInstituteforComputationalMechanics.Hisresearchinterestscoverbroadfieldsincomputation

6、almechanics,includingbothsolidandfluidmechanics.Hisrecentfocusisonmultiphysicsandmultiscaleproblemsaswellascomputationalbiomechanics.Prof.JavierBonetstudiedCivilEngineeringattheUniversitatPolitecnicadeCatalunyainBarcelonaandreceivedhisDoctoratefromSwanseaUniversityintheUK.HeisP
