5、ct.Inthispaper,asimpleandefficientedgedetectiontechniqueisproposed.Itisbasedonthepropertiesofthehypersmoothingfunctionandthefundamentalsofmodifiedlocalbinarypatternandhence,calledasHY-LBP.Themainadvantageoftheproposedapproachisthattherelationshipbetweensurroundingpix
6、elsandcentriconeiscalculatedeffectivelyandextractthesurroundinginformationdiscriminatively.Thecountingschemethatcountsthenumberofimagepointswhosepixelvaluesaregreaterorequalthanthatofthecentralpixelhelptoreducethenoiseandblurringeffects.Thus,HY-LBPcaneffectivelydealw
7、iththenoises,blurring,andcontrastvariation.Theeffectualityandfeasibilityoftheproposedapproachisdemonstratedonvarioussyntheticandrealtimeimages.Experimentalresultshaveshowntheeffectivenessaswellasthebetterperformanceoftheproposedapproachforedgedetectionascomparedtothe
