3、icgoodshasexperiencedarapiddevelopmentinthelastdecades,wehavenotfoundaformalanalysisofdecreasingcostphenomenausingthetheoryofpublicgoodsintheliterature.Therefore,wedevelopamodelinwhichwetransformincreasingreturnstoscaletechnologyinvolvingtwoprivategoods,oneinput,whichservesas
4、num,andoneoutput,intoaconvextechnologyinvolvingtwoprivategoodsandanadditionalpublicgood.Thepublicgoodrepresentsahinvestmentintermsoffixedcosts,higherfixedcosts,amoreproductivemachinery,leadingtolowerunitcosts.Theconsumershaveacommoninterestintheproductivityofthemachinery,sinc
5、eareductionofunitcostsisreflectedbyareductionofprices,inotherwords,byanimprovedpurchasingpowerofthenumcommoditywithwhichconsumersareendowed.Theefficiencyofallocationsineconomieswithpublicgoodshasbeenstudied,amongotherthings,inLindahltheory[seeMilleron(1972)forasurvey].Inparti
