4、ursupervisor/professorisnotheretoteachyoubasicgrammarandspelling.ThemoretimeandemotionalenergysheorhespendsoncorrectingbasicEnglishusage,thelessremainsforissuesofcontentorfine-tuning.Youareresponsibleformasteringthebasicsofthelanguage;saveyoursupervisorstimefo
5、rmoresubstantiveissues.Afewglitchesandnon-paralleltenseswillsipthroughyourowncarefulediting,butthereisnoexcuseforfrequentungrammaticalsentences.Similarly,withwordprocessorsandspellcheckershavingbecomestandardwritingtools,typosorotherspellingerrorsshouldbeveryr
6、are.Useaspellingcheckerbeforesubmittinganythingforanyoneelse'sreading.Ifyoufindyouareabouttosubmitapaperthatyouknowcontainspoorwriting,considerwhyyouaredoingso.Ifthereisawritingproblemwithwhichyouarehavingahardtime(forinstance,organizingthestructureofanargumen
