3、llowersofthisnewmusic.Theseelementsexperiencedconsiderablerefinementanddevelopmentoverthecourseofthehistoryoftheculture.Rockmusic—orsimplyrock—isalooselydefinedgenreofpopularmusicthatdevelopedduringandafterthe1960s.Ithasitsrootsin1940sand1950srockandrollandrockabilly,whichthemsel
4、vesevolvedfromrhythmandblues,countrymusicandotherinfluences.Inaddition,rockmusicdrewonanumberofothermusicalinfluences,includingfolkmusic,jazz,andclassicalmusic.Thesoundofrockoftenrevolvesaroundtheelectricguitaroracousticguitar,anditusesastrongbackbeatlaiddownbyarhythmsectionofele
