4、lociwereobtained32.3%ofthembeingpolymorphic.ThegeneticdifferentiationanalysisrevealedaveryhighgeneticdiversityintheChineselandraces,whichconfirmedthatChinaisthesecondaryorigincentreoftheasparagusbean.ThecommercialcultivarsbredinChinaweregeneticallyhi

5、ghlyhomogenous,suggestingthatthebreedingprocesshasresultedindisappearanceofsomeofthegeneticvariation.Aclusteranalysisat0.17ofNeigeneticdistancedividedthe66landracesandcultivarsinto9groups.Theirclusteringpatternbasicallymatchesthephylogenyofthoseculti

6、vars,andalsocorrespondstotheirgeographicaloriginandmorphologicaltraits.Cowpea(Vignaunguiculata(L.)Walp)originatesfromforpreservation,aswellasforefficientutilizationoftheAfrica.Asanimportantlegumespecies,itsgrowthareagermplasms,especiallyforbreedingpu

7、rposes.exceeds12millionacreswhereover3milliontonsofbeansSofar,veryfewstudieshavebeenperformedtoevaluateareproducedannuallyintheworld(Singhetal.1997).thegeneticrelationshipamongdifferentChinesecultivarsAfterintroductionintoAsia,cowpeaevolvedintotwosub
