3、baticprocessareinvestigated,whichindudetheinvari-abilityofammsphericentropyrangeandlocalsurfacepotentialtemperature,theconservatkmoftheatmosphericmassintervenedbetweenanyisentropicsurfaceandtheground,andtheisentropicsurfaceintersectingwiththeground.Theanalysisshows
4、thattheatmosphericreferencestate(ARS)forinvestigationonavailablepotentialenergy(APE)shouldbedefinedobjectivelyasthestatewhichcouldbeap-proachedfromtheexistingatmospherebyadiabaticadjustment,andberelatedtoinitialatmosphericstatebeforeadjustrnentFortheinitialatmosphe
5、restateatanYtime.itscorrespondingAIRSisdifferentfromtheoneatanothertimeBasedontheabove.mentionedconclusions,thereferencestateproposedbyLorenzcannotbeobtainedphysically,soanewconception,theconditionalminimumtotalpotentialener—gY.isputforwardinordertoobjectivelyinves
