3、alwastewatertreatmentplantwithanoxidationditch(OD)weremonitoredfor1.5yearsusingcommercialextractionkitsforDNAandRNA.NoparameterscorrelatedwiththechromosomalDNAconcentration.ThetotalRNAconcentrationexhibitedbettercorrelationthanthesolidsretentiontimeandth
4、emixedliquorsuspendedsolidswiththeremovalrateoftotalorganiccarbon,andcanberegardedasanindexofmicrobialactivity.ThetotalRNAconcentrationvariedwithacycleofoneyearandincreasedatlowerwatertemperaturesinthisOD.Whendiffusiontheorywastakenintoaccount,itwasfound
5、thattheoxygendissolutionrateincreasedatlowertemperature,andasmallchangeintheoxygendissolutionratecausedalargevariationinmicrobialactivityandalsoaffectednitrifica-tionanddenitrification.Theinformationwasinsufficienttoclarifythevariousreactionrelation-ship

8、beanalyzedactivatedsludge,theamountofoxygensupplied,theamountusingon-sitemonitoringdata.However,theseDNAandofreturnsludgeandotheroperationconditionsshouldbeRNAextractsarealmostalwaysusedinpre-processingforproperlyregulated
