4、ngmachines1817.3Method3:CalibrationofreferenceblocksThisStandardisamodificationofISO6507-1inwhichtheISOAnnexDandtheNoteinClause5.3havebeenchangedtoconformwithestablishedAustralianpracticesforVickershardnesstesting.TheforcevaluesinthisMethodwerecalculatedfromkilogramf

5、orcevalues.TheywereintroducedbeforetheSI-systemwasadopted.ItwasdecidedtokeepthevaluesbasedontheoldunitsforthisMethodbutinthenextrevisionitwillbenecessarytoconsidertheadvantageofintroducingroundedvaluesoftestforceandtheireffectonthehardnessscales.Attentionisdrawntothe

6、factthat,inthisMethod,thefollowingaspectsshouldbeconsidered:(a)Thetestmethodisspecifiedforlengthsofindentationdiagonalsbetween0.020mmand1.400mm.(b)Ifthedifferencebetweenthelengthsofthetwoindentationdiagonalsisgreaterthan5%,thisisstatedinthetestreport.(c)Additionofpro
