4、ispaperistopresentaportionoftheresultsobtainedinthenationwidestudywhichexploredhowCroatianhumanitiesacademicsandscholarsperceiveanduse(historicalandcurrent)newspapers.Thestudypresentedinthispaperfocusedontwogroupsofresearchers,historiansandlinguists,andaimedto
5、answerthefollowingresearchquestions:‘Whatkindsofinformationdo(Croatian)historiansandlinguistslookforinnewspapers?’,‘Whatdifficultiesdoresearchersencounterwhenusingnewspapers?’and‘Whatwouldenhancenewspaperuseintheirfurtherresearch?’.AsurveywasconductedinDecembe
6、r2013throughanonlinequestionnaire,andtheinitialresultsshowthatalmosthalfoftherespondentsusenewspapers(printoronline)asaprimaryresearchsourceandthatthemajorityofrespondentsstillprefertoconsultprintnewspapersoverelectronicforavarietyofreasons.Interestingly,altho
