4、tothefaculty-librarianteam.Thispaperoffersourperspectivesonourexperiences,describestheirinception,growth,anddevelopment,andoffersthoughtsonhowourworkreflectscurrenteducationalpractices.Whilethethrustofthispaperistodescribeeachcollaborationinitsdistinctiveness,it
5、canbefairlysaidthateachconstitutesaspeciesoftheembeddedgenus.Whatmakesembeddedlibrarianshipworkisitsflexibility,whichhasallowedforuniquecollaborationstoflourish.Theterm“embeddedlibrarianship”wascoinedbyDewey(2004),anditreferstotheactofembeddingoneselfinthepopula
6、tionbeingserved,actingastoachieveadeeperlevelofintegrationwithinthegroup,whichrequires“moredirectandpurposefulinteractionthanactinginparallel”(6)withthem.ShumakerandTalleydescribeembeddedlibrarianshipasinvolvingaSouthChinaNormalUniversity(202.116.41.69)-2016/1/2
