3、hSpinalcordinjuries,Amputationsandvariousneuromusculoskeletalconditions.Inaddition,anumberofthepatientscaredforonRR5haveabroadspectrumofmedicalco-morbidities.Thenursesoftherehabilitationunitareuniquelyqualifiedtofacilitaterecoveryoftheindividualtothehighestfunctional,psychosocial,andph
4、ysicallevelspossible.Therehabilitationnurseisanintegralpartofthemultidisciplinaryrehabilitationteamwhichiscomprisedofphysiatrists,physiotherapists,occupationaltherapists,socialworkers,vocationalcounselor,recreationaltherapistsandspiritualcare.Incollaborationwiththeinterdisciplinaryteam
5、,thepatientandtheirfamily,rehabilitationnursesassess,plan,perform,coordinateandevaluaterehabilitativecarebasedoneachindividualpatient’suniquecircumstances,goals,andmostimportantlytheirabilitiesratherthantheirdisabilities.Therehabilitationnursestogetherwiththeinterdisciplinaryteamensure
6、thatindividualsimpactedbydisabilityareprovidedwiththeknowledge,toolsandresourcestheywillrequireinorderfortheirsuccessfulreturntothecommunityGD6A15singlebedHEPAfilteredunitthatspecializesintheprovisionofcaretopatientswithacutehaematologicalmalignanciesand/ordiseases.Complexmedicalandnur
7、singcareincludesadministrationofhighdosechemotherapyandbloodandmarrowtransplantation.AcloseworkingrelationshipisfosteredandmaintainedwithCancerCareManitoba.CENTRALSUPPORTSERVICESMedicalReliefTeamTheMedicalReliefTeam(MRT)providesshorttermnursingcoveragetotheunitswithintheHealthScience
