2、rthantheauthor'sage.Itisan(1953)suggestsanearlypeakinproductivityinavarietyofscientificandartisticendeavors,andDiamond(1986)documentsthepatternforseveralscholarlypursuits.LevinandStephan(1992)provideclearevidencethatthisdeclineexistsevenaftercarefulattemptstoaccountforindividualandco

3、hortdifferences.Fair(1994)findsdeclinesinphysicalabilityamongeliterunners,asdoesLydall(1968,pp.113passim)inphysicalabilitiesofthepopulationgenerally.Inthisstudyineproductivitydeclinesinouroainneouruseoftation,theequivalentofhouseholdandestablishmentdata,tostudythestonefieldoveressent
