4、sthatarecomputedbymicroprocessororcomputer.Analogcircuitsarefrequentlyusedforimprovingthelinearityofthesensorcharacteristics,whichimpliesadditionalanaloghardwareandtypicalproblemsassociatedtoanalogcircuitssuchastemperaturedrift,gainandoffseterror.Usingthesecondmethod,sensornonlineariti

5、escanbecompensatedbymeansofarithmeticoperations,ifanaccuratesensormodelisavailable(directcomputationofthepolynomials),oruseofamultidimensionallook-uptable.Directcomputationofthepolynomialmethodismoreaccuratebuttakesalongtimeforcomputation,whilethelook-uptablemethod,thoughfaster,isnotve

6、ryaccurate.Inrecentyears,applicationofANNshasemergedasapromisingareaofresearchinthefieldofinstrumentationandmeasurement.Itprovidesaneurocomputingapproachforsolvingcomplexproblemsespeciallyinnonlinearsystemmodelingwhichthenetworkitselfisanonlinearsystem.Thisisextremelyusefulwhentheareao
