4、hingandResearchPress.Thereasonforvocabularytobetakenasasingleaspectoftextbookevaluationistwo-fold.First，itisbecausevocabu1aryacquisitionhasitsunchallengeableplaceintextbooks，sovocabulary1argelydecidesthequalityofatextbook.Secondly，itisbecausethecriteriaofvocabularycanbeeasilyquant

5、ifiedintheevaluationprocess.Theinternalevaluationaboutthenewwordsfocusesontheinternalaccountabilityofthewordsthemselves,includingthenewwordvolume,thenewwordproportion,thewordfrequency,andthewordlearningmethodineachexercise.Furthermore,therapiddevelopmentofdatabasesoffersahandytool

6、aswellasanexaminationplatformforevaluation.Cunningsworth(1984)arguesthatinnormalcircumstancestheproportionofnewwordsinatextshouldnotexceed5%ofthetotalinthatitdoeslittlegoodtostudentsinforminggoodcommunicationstrategiestoworkoutthemeaningsofunfamiliarwordsbyusingcontext.Afteranalyz
