1、GreenBarriertoTradeInrecentyears,environmentalproblemsarebecomingseriousandattracttheattentionofdifferentcountries.Manycountrieshavesetoffagreenwavetoprotecttheenvironmentandthenewtypeofnon-tarifftradebarriers--greentradebarriersspringup.Greenbarriertotrade(GBT)oftenmakes
2、developingcountriessuffersincedevelopedcountriesuseGBTtoconfineimports(Chandrasekhar,Ghosh,andPal2006).OneofthestrongestmethodstopreventdomesticmarketsfromforeignimpactsisGBT(LeeandChen2011).ThereductionofunreasonableGBTcouldpromotetradeliberalizationandprotecttherightsof
3、lessdevelopedcountries.So,thestudyaboutGBTisnecessaryforinternationaltradedevelopment.ThisarticlewillanalyzethecausesandimpactsofGBT,andgivesomerecommendations.TherearedifferentdefinitionsonGBT,butthesedifferencesareslight.GBTisusuallysetbyadvancedcountrieslegallyandseems
4、tobeappropriatebecauseitisunderthesloganofpromotingecologicalharmonyandhumanhealth(LeeandChen2011).Infact,GBTisforthesakeofprotectingadvancedcountries’homeindustriesanddecreasingcompetitionpressure.CountriesimplementGBTthroughseveralmajorforms,suchasGreenTariff,GreenStand
5、ards,PackageRequirementandSanitaryandquarantineinspectionsystem(Sargent2006).ThefollowingisaboutthecausesofGBT.Thefirstreasonisthatinternationaltradenegotiationsaretoughtosucceedandinternationalconventionsareimperfect.Differentenvironmentandtradelegislationsofdiversenatio
6、nsbringaboutthelackofstrongandunifiedrulesintheglobaltrade(Dunoff1992).Thesevariouslegalstandardsstrengthenthedifficultyofglobalnegotiations.Inaddition,manyadvancedcountriesfailedtoperformtheirpromiseofreducingtraderestrictionsormadeuseofGBT(Chandrasekhar,Ghosh,andPal2006
