2、eparationaremuchcostly,althoughitisatrendtomakehighperformanceleadacidbatterybyusingultrafineleadoxide.Inthisstudy,ultrafineleadoxidewaspreparedviaalowtemperaturecalcinationprocess,byusingleadcitrateasaprecursor.Andleadcitratewassynthesizedfromthestartingmaterialsofspentleadacidbatterypast

3、eincitricacidsystem.Thisworkwasfocousedonthedecompositionexperimentandcharacterizationofleadoxide.Thecontentofthisthesiscontainsfollwingthreeparts.1.SynthesisofthreetypesofleadcitratefromleachingofspentleadacidbatterypasteInleachingsystemofC6H8O7∙H2O-Na3C6H5O7·2H2O,thefinalsynthesizedleadc

4、itratewassheet-shapecrystalofPb(C6H6O7)·H2Oundertheoptimumleachingconditions.TwotypesofleadcitratewereobtainedinleachingsystemofCH3COOH-Na3C6H5O7·2H2O,i.e...column-shapecrystalofPb3(C6H5O7)23H2OandflakycrystalofPb3(C6H5O7)24.4H2O.2.Themechanismstudyonpreparationofultrafineleadoxidefromdeco

5、mpositionofleadcitrateprecursorsThedecompositionmechanismofthethreetypesleadcitrateinbothN2gasandairwerestuiedinatubularfurnace.BothleadcitrateandoxideproductswerecharacterizedbymeansofTG-DTA,FT-IR,XRD,andSEM.TheresultsshowedthatwhenthethreetypesleadcitratewascalcinedinflowingN2gas,β-PbOin

6、theorthorhombicphasewasthemainproductcontainingsmallamountofPbandamorphouscarbon.Oncombustingthecitrateinstaticair,twostagesweretookplaceinthecalcination.FirststagewasdecompositionofcitratewhichwasalikeofpyrolysisofcitrateinN2,accompanyingbyalittleofoxidationoreactionwhentemperaturewasbelo
