2、however,ontheempiricaltest,thescholarsmostlyfocusedonthetradeandforeigndirectinvestment,butrelativelylessonthetechnologyspilloverfromtheoutwardforeigndirectinvestment.Atpresent,Chinaisthethirdlargestforeigninvestmentcountryintheworld,theroleofOFDIbecom
3、emoreandmoreimportantinthespilloveroftechnology,however,researchontheoutwardforeigndirectinvestmentmostlybasedontheprovincialpaneldata,butlessontheindustry.Sothispapertrytoexplorethereversetechnologyspilloverfromoutwardforeigndirectinvestmentbasedonthe
4、industry.Firstlythispaperwillintroducethetheoriesofforeigndirectinvestment,andthenwillanalyzetheconductionmechanismofreversetechnologyspilloverbasedonthetheoriesandacomprehensiveanalysisofthehistoryandcharacteristicsofChineseoutwardforeigndirectinvestm
5、ent,afterestimatingthetotalfactorproductivitybyusingChina’seightindustriespaneldatawiththeMalmquistindexnon-parametricmethod,thispaperwillstudythathowinternationalR&DstocksareinteractedviaChineseoutwardforeigndirectinvestment(OFDI)withdomesticR&D,andtr
6、ytoexploreifthereexistsanyeffectonthetotalfactorproductivityintheeightindustries.TheempiricalresultsshowthattheinternationalR&DhasacertaineffectonthetotalfactorproductivitythroughOFDI,butitisnotsignificanttoaffectthetechnicaladvance.Keywords:OutwardFor
