1、目录摘要：小城镇发展及其导致的社会现象已构成中国城市化、其中，小城镇中心作为全镇居民的活动核心和对外窗口，越受到重视。现代化进程中最突出的特色之～。是小城镇建设的重中之重，正越来江南地区自古以来就是城镇密集区，近年来更是在国家政策的扶持和地区经济发展的促进下有了长足的发展。为了解决城镇发展中的一系列矛盾，江南小城镇投入了大量的人力物力对作为城镇形象代表的城镇中心进行更新改造。一些小城镇在建设的过程中由于缺乏整体的城市设计而造成了一系列的问题，亟待解决。城市设计是规划设计和单体设计之间桥梁，是协调建筑与空间的方法和手段。目前，城市设计作为改进人们的生存空间的环境质量和

2、生活质量的手段正在受到逐步的重视。本文首先对江南小城镇及其中心作了基本的界定，然后剖析了江南小城镇新中心的发展动因和建设现状，以此引出本文的撰写目的，再结合江南小城镇的传统空间特质，从城市设计的角度对目前江南小城镇新中心建设中的相关问题进行了探讨，最后对实际参与的案例一一湖州市南浔区中心城市设计中标方案进行了简要的分析。全文共45000余字，图表80幅。关键字：小城镇新中心江南地区城市设计Abstract：Thedevelopmentoftownsandthesocialphenomenonitcausesconstituteoneofthemostoutstand
