2、sedofwirelesssensornodeswhichareattachedtothehumanbodyandacoordinator.Thesensornodescollecthuman’sphysiologicalsignalsandtransferthemtothecoordinatorwhichhasacertaincomputingcapabilitiessuchaspersonaldigitalassistantandtelephoneandsoonandthenthecoordinatortransfersthedatatothehandlingsyste
3、minhospitalviathemobilenetwork.Sincethesensornode’senergyisextremelylimited,itisakeyissuetoimprovetheenergyefficiencyofWBAN.Accordingtothecharacteristicsofthewirelessbodyareanetwork,wemakearesearchontheresourceallocationmethods.Themathematicalmodelofresourceallocationwhichissolvedsubsequen
4、tlyinWBANisestablished.Themajorworksinthispaperareinthefollowing:Firstly,researchonsystemmodelofWBAN.Thesystemmodelwhichincludesthetopology,channelpathlossmodelandtheoperatingmodearestudiedandanalyzedwhichisthebackgroundofthethesis.Andthenweintroducetheconvexoptimizationproblemanditssolver
5、(CVX)briefly.Secondly,networkglobalenergyminimizationmodelofWBAN.Underthebackgroundofthenetworkstructureandthetransmissioncharacteristicsofmedicalmonitoring,fromtheperspectiveofresourceallocation,weoptimizetheallocationoftransmissionpower(transmitrate)andtransmissiontimesimultaneouslyfromt
6、heperspectiveofresourceallocationinWBAN.Finally,thetotalenergyminimizationmodelisestablishedwhichisprovedtobeageometricprogramming.Afterthat,wecanachievetheoptimalresultsandtheenergyefficiencyofWBANisimprovedaccordingly.Thirdly,networklifetimemaximizationmodelofWBAN.Basedonthetotalenergymi
7、nimizationmodelandthebusinesscharacteristicsofWBAN,weproposethenetworklifetimemaximizationmodelandprovethatitisalsoageometricprogramming.Accordingtothesimulation,wecanconcludethatenergyefficiencycanbeobviouslypromotedbytheproposedmethods.Keywords:WBAN,energyef
